There are so many people that wear glasses and there are many places to get glasses. One thing that they all have in common is they can be expensive. That expense is what has left many people turning to the internet for their eyeglass needs. You can get eyeglasses for a really affordable price online saving a lot of money.  The problem is eye doctors are feeling the crunch in the economy just as we are. They are not appreciating the fact that customers are turning to the internet to get their glasses. They are responding by not releasing your PD measurements, the distance between your pupils. This measurement is required to make your glasses fit properly. This measurement is not done during the exam process which means doctors would have to take an extra step realizing you are going to take your eyeglass business online. This does not sit well with eye doctors. You can understand their point, however, they also need to understand their customers are trying to be able to afford eyeglasses and for many it is all about the bottom line. If they could not get their glasses at such a reduced cost they could not get them at all. We understand the doctor’s point but they also need to understand that many people are financially struggling.
